The exclusive world premiere of Atlas Shrugged Part I will be held on April 12, 2011 in Washington, D.C.
Appropriately, the venue of the film’s release will be in Union Station. As trains traverse the station’s rails to and from destinations far and wide, the audience of luminaries in the station’s Columbus Club will watch on the screen as Dagny Taggart struggles to run her railroad in the face of villains who, like those on nearby Capitol Hill, seek to strangle achievement.
But this evening will be a festive red carpet affair to celebrate the achievement of producers John Aglialoro—an Atlas Society trustee—and Harmon Kaslow who brought the movie of Ayn Rand’s great novel to the screen. Also in attendance will be Matthew Marsden who plays James Taggart, and Graham Beckel , who plays Ellis Wyatt. Others invited to the chic-chic soirée include members of Congress who actually fight for freedom and capitalism, think tank heavy-weights, and media mainstays.
